The Center for Expertise, Evaluation and Certification of Precious and Semi-Precious Mineral Substances is the Certification Authority for mineral substances in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Established by Decree number 09/57 of December 3, 2009, the CEEC is a technical public service under the Ministry of Mines, born from the liberalization of mineral exploitation and marketing in the DRC.
The CEEC supervises mineral substances, controlling quantity, quality, and value for export.
Since June 2011, CEEC operates as a Public Establishment under Decree 011/28, managing precious and semi-precious materials, especially diamonds, to benefit mining operators, local populations, and the Congolese State.
The CEEC ensures compliance with national, regional, and international standards for the traceability and legality of mineral substances.
